Tube Snake Story
Motorcycle Tire Changer/Tube Tool/Motorcycle Tire Changing Tool/MY LITTLE TOOL....call it what you may, the beginning of an invention is always out of necessity. Everyone really loves to ride on new tires! And NOBODY likes to change a tire! I hate it! Factor in a bit of arthritis over the years, it made the task way more difficult.
My son, Lester, was racing every weekend; which meant NEW tires every weekend. Without the appropriate motorcycle tire tools, this meant battered up hands EVERY weekend. My son, some friends of his and I were all in the garage one Saturday messing around preparing for Sundays race. We were all avoiding the tire changing ordeal when I tried screwing in a 5mm Bolt into a tube stem; it didn't quite fit. I rethreaded the bolt to a finer thread, welded on a chain and handed it to the boys. They broke it. After a little more configuring, I finally got the weld right! They used it then and there...and just thru it in with the other motorcycle tire repair kit stuff. All was forgotten.
Until, it was time to change a tire again! Then it was, "Dad, where is that motorcycle tire changer-tube tool thingy?"
'Hmmm...I wonder what if I could make a motorcycle tire tool that was harder to break with a swivel, so the chain won't bind?'
'Hmmm...maybe a patent for my own motorcycle tire changing tool would be cool?'
'Hmmm...maybe a patent hanging on the wall would be cool?!"
'Hmmm...what will I call it?' Motorcycle Tire Changer/Motorcycle Tire Tool/Motorcycle Tire Changing Tool/Tube Tool Thingy???'
After many hours of thought, numerous drawings, trying different cables, ball chains and fishing swivels; I came up with the design. It took three years for the patent on the wall. And yes, a patent for my own motorcycle tire changing tool feels pretty cool. After all those boys and fellow riders kept asking me for the "Motorcycle Tire Changer/Motorcycle Tire Tool/Motorcycle Tire Changing Tool/Tube Tool thingy"....I am happy to introduce the "TUBE SNAKE"! Hope it makes your tire changing easier.

P.S...I would like to warn everyone to watch out for imitations. There are two companies out there making a similar tool, for your motorcycle tire repair kit, with a cable. The cable will kink, then fray, then break. (Believe me, as I had tried using cable in my design.) I have made the TUBE SNAKE to last and the THIS motorcycle tire changer is repairable if you break it.
This is one of the best small items to put in your tool kit if you have tube tires.
